Summer Camp Safety
COVID-19 protocol
At GGEC, we are committed to keeping our team members, clients, and community safe. As always, the safety and health of our GGEC family and animals are our utmost priority. We want share the steps we are taking to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and to safeguard everyone who visits our facility.
Team members are regularly sanitizing door handles, cross tie snaps, light switches, bathrooms, stall handles, countertops and all other high-touch surfaces, etc.
Team members are regularly washing hands and using hand-sanitizer.
Team members are asked to stay home if they or anyone in their household is sick.
Summer Camp Safety Protocol:
Safety meetings will be held at the beginning of each camp session to share instructions on hand-washing, social distancing, using hand sanitizers, general hygiene recommendations, horse and rider safety, etc.
GGEC will provide each student with their own hand sanitizers, personal water bottles, and face masks.
Arts and crafts, snacks and meals will take place under our outdoor tent to limit number of people in common spaces
Tables and work-spaces will 6 feet apart; will no more than 5 campers per work-space.
Campers will be divided into small groups of less than 10.
Hand-washing stations will be placed throughout the property.
Social distancing guidelines will be enforced to the extent possible.
How you can help:
If you or anyone in your household is sick, please stay at home.
Please be sure to wipe down shared tack (with ONLY GGEC-provided tack cleaner) or any surface you touch.
Please practice social distancing while in common areas.
